Colourful and imaginative – the Role Play Convention Germany had opened
its gates for the second time since 2007, on the weekend of April 26-27th 2008.
The organizers promised a roaring feast, entertainment and
excitement and thanks to the numerous exhibitors and enthusiastic Role
Playing fans, they were able to keep that promise.

Crossing and linking the different media of Role Play, from LARP over Pen & Paper up to PC,
browser and console games, the convention had managed to gather more than 100 exhibitors
from every genre and attracted close to 25.000 visitors.

Alcoholic potions, dice in all the colors of the rainbow (and a few more), gleaming medieval knight’s armor,
swords, bows and arrows – the exhibitors inside the halls and outside on the medieval market,
offered numerous ways for the visitors to restock their equipment and leave with
full bags and a considerably lighter purse.

Enthusiastic PC and console players found their favourite games in the middle hall.
Warhammer Online, World of Warcraft, the sequel to “Sacred”, presented with a special
performance by Blind Guardian – there was nothing left to be desired.

Orks, Elves, noble knights and pretty damsels and even a couple of sinister Ring wraiths helped underline the
overall fantastic ambience of 2008th' s RPC. The aware visitor, however, could not help but notice that there w
as something odd going on … A big Mole, his nose thrust happily into the air was spotted sitting in the
middle of a suspiciously colourful booth, accompanied by a number of happy garden gnomes.

Moles, garden gnomes? No one but the company UpJers had decided to present their new browser game hit
Molehill Empire and dared Ring wraiths and Elves alike to try their luck by throwing rings of plastic roses
over the specially made Mole’s nose and win an upjers shirt. A huge sitting area invited everyone to stay around
for a bit, or have a go at one of our browser games on the provided PCs.

Fun, entertainment and a highly enthusiastic audience
We are already looking forward to the next Role Play Convention in 2009!
