8.  People join together in these, a recent edition to Regnum.

You might not need to answer every single question in the above, but it will help you to ensure everything is correct.

All the above answers have some relevance to Kapi-Regnum in one form or another whether it be a title, feature, item or anything else.

Your goal is to get the correct letters for the yellow boxes, these letters will then spell out a 'Special Item' ...

It is up to you to put these letters in the right order, Try referring to the help files to help you with this.

Send the name of this particular item to the Journal,
With your answer in the Subject Line.

If you believe the answer is "Lumberjack" for example,
Your subject title should simply be 'Lumberjack'.

Solution of last edition

In our last Riddle we were seeking to find how much more income our friend the farmer would need in order to pay for his employees to be tutored to switch his production.

He starts out with nothing, however does have some produce he can sell. 200 Pieces of Dried Meat for example.

He can sell his Dried Meat at 170 ¢τ a piece down at the local market in town. This gives him a profit of 34,000 ¢τ.

He also has 30 Pigs to sell, which he earns 120 ¢τ on each one for a profit of 3,600 ¢τ, bringing our total to 37,600 ¢τ

Now, don't forget however the farmer still needs to pay his employees. 200 ¢τ a week for working in the Butchery, which with 20 employees adds up to 4,000 ¢τ.

There's also those on the Cattle Farm which are paid at a rate of 160 ¢τ, so with 18 employees that adds up to 2,880 ¢τ.

This means he's already having to spend 6,880 ¢τ just to pay his employees; yet he must still pay the tutor.

At a charge of 1,200 ¢τ per Butchery Employee, and
900 ¢τ
per Cattle Farm Employee that total comes to 40,200 ¢τ plus an additional charge of 3,000 ¢τ for Transport expenses for the tutor.

This means that after starting out with a profit of 37,600 ¢τ he pays out 6,880 ¢τ for wages, leaving 30,720 ¢τ.

This leaves him 12,480 ¢τ short, which is how much more income he needs to pay the other farmer.

Now as stated in the previous edition due to the same Puzzle been repeated six winners would be chosen this time. However out of only sixteen entries received four were correct, so all four will receive their prize shortly.

Normal service for the Sunday Puzzles resumes from this Edition. This means that next time there will only be the usual three winners in Edition Eighteen.

So for the prizes?
Congratulations to...

Boulder
Bitterleaf
Eagles Lair
Turtlely
Ragnar
Alin Town

On getting the answer correct, as well as to everyone else who sent in the correct answer for the last puzzle.

These three cities were selected at random to receive the special prize of a Philosopher's Stone.

This item adds +4 to the users reputation points, and can be received without the need for any buildings or statuses.

Out of 21 entries, 6 were correct.
Update: 05/07/2008 - Apologies for the delay in sending the prizes. It had totally slipped my mind until receiving a message enquiring about them.

Here in the Regnum Journal we are always looking for suggestions or submissions for Word Puzzles, Riddles, and even Spot-The-Difference images as long as they are of a medieval theme.
Remember space shuttles and laser rifles did not exist in the Middle Ages.

If you are willing to contribute then please send submissions via Pigeon to the Journal with the subject Puzzle Suggestion.
Be sure to include the question and solution in the IGM.

Please try to ensure correct spelling on your contributions.
Puzzles which clearly show no effort to check for such mistakes will not be published.
