I've decided to try yet another new variety of puzzle for this week in the Regnum Journal... A Missing Number Puzzle.

Objective

Your objective is to work out what number replaces the
question mark in the image above.

With your answer in the Subject Line.

Deadline for solutions is:
Friday, September 12th 2008

Three winners will be selected at random after this time and will be posted in Edition Twenty of the Regnum Journal.

Solution of last edition

Written in Grey are the correct numbers on the completed Sudoku Puzzle - Take close note of the numbers in yellow.

From left to right these numbers give us the final value of
492

Most of the submitted answers were correct, although in a few cases people had mixed up the numbers, or completely got them wrong anyway.

These three cities were selected at random to receive the special prize of a Philosopher's Stone.

Here in the Regnum Journal we are always looking for suggestions or submissions for Word Puzzles, Riddles, and even Spot-The-Difference images as long as they are of a medieval theme.
