Player Interview

1. Been within the top 10 players of the Server, how do you feel about this placement? Are you determined to stay within this range?

Well, it isn’t that easy to answer, since there are many different points to consider.
Let me mention the reputation, allod or total value. You also can invest deep into coins.
If you mean the allod, yes I think I stay into top10 for a while, but some people tend to “boost” their allod at some point with the “special buildings”.

As a quick example. 1 sqm of a production building costs up to 2,000ct per sqm while a special building costs up to 60,000ct…you get it, it’s a lot easier to pimp your allod this way.

2. Have you ever played across other the other games (Kapilands, etc) or languages of Kapi-Regnum?

Yes, I played once the German version of Kapilands.. And gave up on it, I started way too late.
and I still play Kapi-Regnum – German version.

3. Do you believe this experience from the other servers has helped you now?

Yes, of course, especially on the long run it helps you a lot to know what is changing.
Right now you could easy have 30-40 million allod more, but you would lose massively in 2-4 months, since your production is dropping.

It’s a lot easier, if you exactly know, which products are good and which are bad/average.
Also it is very good and helpful to know how the productivity of certain buildings drop and what percentage of buildings and shops you should get.

4. Do you specialize in a particular market?

Yes, its needed to specialize on one product, else you have no chance on the long run.
In the early days it is a lot easier to make profit, with time the average quality raises more and more and if your below with your quality you sell less. (I'm sure this is well known)
Now you have to consider that you have to research and you cant research in a acceptable way if you don’t focus on only 1-3 products.

5. Do you purchase, or produce yourself the products needed for this market?

Actually there are some base thoughts about this, right now I produce the materials needed for my products myself.
I've bought it from other players, but there simply was no one who was willing to produce the materials I need on a regular basis.
It's also quite hard to find people who really work with you together on a long run. So I decided to lower the risk at start and produce my stuff myself.

6. What would you say has most contributed to your current success within the game? (Market Sales, Contracts, Market Stalls, etc.)

Well, this is a good question. Hard to say, in the first few days I made tons of money with market sales, since I could overprice a lot.
Today I make most of my cash with Market Stalls (80%) and some less money with Contracts.

For this first edition of the Regnum Journal I was able to contact, and Interview one of our users within the game.

Obscurum

Whome is one of the highest ranked allod players at this time to get their opinion on a range of subjects covered to the left side and further down this page featuring the actual Interview.

Over time many more players will be interviewed on a range of subjects and chosen at random to get a varied response from not just high in the ranks but also from the newer players among us in Kapi Regnum.

As time passes and more editions are released more then one person may be interviewed for the paper, and the Interviews may become much longer as the editorial team grows and experience is gained to think about what type of questions to ask our generous players putting time in to answer them.

Be aware that people will primarily be contacted through the forums. So if you wish to have a chance at been Interviewed then be sure to keep an active presence there.

Note that messaging a member of the editorial team will not help your chances of been selected.
We select and contact people at random to inquire if they would be interested in been Interviewed for the paper.

7. Do you have a particular interest in the middle ages that has made you more inclined to play Kapi-Regnum?

I like this kind of game in general, I work a lot and don’t have the time to be online all the day, so games where I have to check “enemies” tend to get priority.
I like the design and also the middle ages.
Yes, this game fits my liking very well.

8. Approximately how much time do you put into the game on an average day?

The more time passes, the bigger the intervals become. Right now I check my store around 5-10 times a day.
All in all, I invest around 1 hour each day. In some months, it’s a lot less.
In the German version I check my store once a day mostly. Only on the cash in days, where you enter your shops, you have 2 days some more time to spend, but after that you have 2-3 weeks with almost nothing do to.

9. How did you hear about the game?

I did hear about this game back as I played Kapilands and since I started too late there, it was a nice chance to be here almost at the start.
I can't tell you how I did hear about Kapilands though… I think it was a banner somewhere.

10. Any Other Comments?

I like the game a lot, It's well done and if you play some months you notice the huge amount of work people did put into it. Also the support from other players is quite good.
Thx for that to the people who keep it running.
