Tables have been used for thousands of years in any number of ways, although
early on perhaps just through food been placed on a stone slab, or rock even.
After we finally learned to shape wood, and join it together in order to
create various shapes of varied sizes were tables created as a course of to
literately keep food off the ground.
They've been made in any number of sizes with varied heights, widths and uses
from been used as a place area for food, to tools when cutting wood, or dealing
with other materials.
Not all tables were kept up all the time however; Only lords or those in high
prestige would keep a table setup permanently. Others would construct the table
as was needed in order to preserve space within the home, and of course to help
avoid the risk of fire if kept near an open fireplace.
Like the table, much of the furniture was often simple, and relative
according to the owner. A higher lord, or furniture in a castle would typically
have painted furniture, sometimes with a heraldry design for important pieces
owned by the lord.
Individual chairs were quite a luxury, even in castles.
Seating was mainly in the form of large, long benches or in case of the typical
poor peasant house they'd only use medium sized rocks.

How does the Competition Work?
The product to be sent in for the competition is selected at
random
The selected quality and retail price of the product to send is included in
every announcement, however sometimes the product itself may be hidden with only
a clue in the competition story.
Generally competitions are not suitable for the newer players or smaller cities
due to the amount needed to have a fair chance in the standings. However they
can sell the required product or something needed to produce them to those who
are willing to pay enough to earn one of the above prizes since high yields are
usually the target for these competitions.
On the last day of the competition at 23:59 the competition office is then
closed until the next one is made available.
The winners are indicated in the competition listings.
