A national emergency has been declared across the country
following a shortage of new iron ore been brought out from the mines. Several
have closed in the past few months as accident levels increase and workers leave
to other professions.
The severely reduced production of Iron has started to take its toll across
the country as the price of Iron shoots up tremendously. Even the manufactories
are starting to feel the effects as they report reduced profits on their
iron-based products.
The Manufacturers and Miners Guilds have started to put out appeals to
encourage workers back into the mines promising better working conditions and
better pay in an attempt to halt an increasing country-wide problem that effects
several other professions.
Due to the urgency a price of 10 Â¢Ï is offered on the Quality 0
Iron Ore
delivered to the city Contest by horse-drawn carts.
This contest begins on Monday, 10th November 2008,
And ends on Friday, 28th November 2008 at 23:59.
To enter this contest and to have a chance at winning one of
the prizes listed to the top right of this page simply send many
Quality 0 Iron Ore as you can to the city
Contest priced at 10 ¢Ï.
This price is double the production cost so could offer a
small profit for people producing their own Iron Ore. Alternatively you may also sell to other more competitive cities for a small,
or large profit to give your own city a quick boost towards expansion.

How does the Competition Work?
The Selected product may or may not be produced in a high
quantity and often the product is selected to give a more fair chance to every
player whether a beginner or long-term member.
The selected quality and retail price of the product to send is included in
every announcement, however sometimes the product itself may be hidden with only
a clue in the competition story.
Generally competitions are not suitable for the newer players or smaller cities
due to the amount needed to have a fair chance in the standings. However they
can sell the required product or something needed to produce them to those who
are willing to pay enough to earn one of the above prizes since high yields are
usually the target for these competitions.
On the last day of the competition at 23:59 the competition office
is then
closed until the next contest date is made available.
