What's the Word?

The following riddle involves answering ten questions in relation to Christmas coming soon at the end of December.

1. In the song "The Twelve Days Of Christmas", what did my true love send me on the four day? - Note the fifth letter.

2. Which of these names does NOT belong to one of Santa's reindeer? A) Comet B) Prancer C) Blitzen D) Klaxon
- Note the second letter.

3. Who was the mother of Jesus? - Note the second and third letters.

4. At Christmas, it is traditional to exchange kisses beneath a sprig of which plant? - Note the fifth & sixth letters.

5. What did the three wise men follow to find Jesus? - Note the first letter.
There are a couple of variances to this answer. The first letter is almost always referred to in the second word however.

6. Where was Jesus Baptized? - Note the fourth & eighth letters.

7. A fruity Christmas treat often left out for Santa Clause - Note the fourth letter.

8. What gifts did the Three Wise Men bring to Jesus after his birth?
-Note the fifth letter.
This could be confusing, again due to the order. Think of the longest word however.

9. What animals traditionally pull Santa's sleigh?
- Note the second and fourth letters.

10. In "'Twas The Night before Christmas", not a creature was stirring, not even a... - Note the fourth letter.

Question: With our answers to all the above questions find the aforementioned number in that answer.

Combine all those letters to create two new words which is the actual answer we are looking for this edition of the Regnum Journal.

Solution of last edition

Kings of the Past

The last puzzle was somewhat a mixture of word and numbers. The key was in the words at first, and as soon as we knew our first age the rest was pretty simple to work out.

It started out telling us about two of the son's,
William & Edward.

We know Edward is two years younger then William, but then how old was William in the first place?
This is were a little maths comes into play, for you were only given the age of one of the descendants;
Edward, who was 30 years old.

From this we can say with certainty that William was 32.
Mary was William's twin sister, and so was also 32.

Mary contacted Elizabeth to help her get revenge against Edward for the death of William, and we are told Elizabeth is 6 years younger then Mary. This means she was 26.

The rest of the values are unimportant, and are there more to complete the story then anything else.

Our goal however was to work out the age of Elizabeth after she finally returned home to Regnum after been exiled to Chinos for the past four years.

Simple addition at this points gives us our answer:-
Elizabeth was 30 years old upon her return home.

So for the prizes?
Congratulations to...

St Arthur
Dremoria
Rheydt
