1. Having played Kapi-Regnum now for just over two
months, What is your overall opinion on the game, and it's growth with features
and the players?
I really enjoy playing Kapi-Regnum, what I like most is that I get to pick my
level of involvement;
I can stay completely isolated, only producing and selling for myself with zero
interaction with other people, all of the way to live-chat.
I also like that you can choose your financial level of investment. Even if you
choose not to buy the coins, the company doesn't bombard you with other
companies' banner ads and pop-ups.
When it first began, I had wanted to stay in the top 100 allod ranking but that
didn't last too long. Now I am trying to maintain top 200.
Working full time and raising two kids interferes with my game time.
I haven't had any problems with other players.
In fact, it is the opposite; people are more than willing to share their
knowledge. I've even had people not accept contracts when I've messed up the
pricing and message me to to correct it.
2. Do you play across any of the other economy simulation games from UpJers?
(Kapilands, Kapitalism, etc)
I play Kapilands on Server1. I started Server2, but it was just too much of a
time commitment.
3. Do you believe this experience from the other servers has helped you now?
I think it is the reverse. Being in Kapi-Regnum since almost the beginning, I've
had a better grasp of how what I do makes my city thrive or decline. I've taken
what I've learned here and have changed the way I play Kapilands.
The biggest lesson is using your building spaces to their best advantage. I buy
raw materials here and use them to make other products that turn a better
profit.
4. Do you specialise in a particular product or mix & match to make a profit
to improve your city?
Although I think I would do better to specialize, it would also be less
interesting to play. I have a fairly broad mix of industries.
Unfortunately, that makes me need to research a broad mix of products, as well..
My largest investment is in farms since they supply the raw materials for my
other industries.
5. Do you have any plans to help further the growth of your city? (New
Buildings, working on a higher quality, etc.)
I just sold my armourer after the expensive lesson that making a profit from
those products takes too long.
I think I am going to learn that same lesson, because I replaced it with a
goldsmith. We'll see.
I am upgrading my stalls and guild masters as researching the higher levels gets
very time consuming without enough workers.
6. Have you ever advertised with the Market Crier?
Not Yet.
There was a follow-up question here to enquire
if they felt the cost to advertise was worth what they got back in return,
perhaps in another Interview some insight will be provided about this.

For this second edition of the Regnum Journal I was able to
contact, and Interview one of our users within the game.
WeGotGame
Of the city Escapism.
Whome is one of the growing players in the community holding the rank of
Huckster at the time of the Interview. Their
opinion was asked on a range of subjects covered to the left side and further down this
page featuring the actual Interview.
This makes for two players who have been Interviewed within the regnum community
from two ranges of players at the top, and lower down in the rankings and we've
already seen a varied response in how these two cities work.
Next time I'll contact somebody in-between these two to see their opinion on a
further range of subjects to compare to their opinions to what we've been told
by our first two interviewees.
As time passes and more editions are released more then one person may be
interviewed for the paper, and the Interviews may become much longer as the
editorial team grows and experience is gained to think about what type of
questions to ask our generous players putting time in to answer them.
Be aware that people will primarily be contacted through the forums. So if you
wish to have a chance at been Interviewed then be sure to keep an active
presence there.
Note that messaging a member of the editorial team will not help your chances of
been selected.
We select and contact people at random to inquire if they would be interested in
been Interviewed for the paper.

7. Do you have a particular interest in the middle ages that
has made you more inclined to play Kapi-Regnum?
I've always liked the whole "Knight in Shining Armour" type of movies and games.
It was that type of game that introduced me to online playing, although it was a
much different type of game than Kapi-Regnum.
8. Approximately how much time do you put into the game on an
average day?
Initially it was more, but right now I spend between one and two hours. Last
night I was able to set almost all of my industries on a 24-hour production.
Once I can consistently do that, I hope to spend less time, but since it is
winter and I hate the cold, staying indoors sitting at my computer doesn't seem
like a bad idea.
9. How did you hear about the game?
I had seen an ad in another MMORPG some time ago, but it was the German version
of Kapilands. Then about 6 months ago I started seeing the banner again so I
checked it out. I was hooked instantly. When I saw the announcement about Kapi-Regnum
in the Kapilands forum, I instantly jumped in. |
