Player Interview

1. Having played on the English version of Kapi-Regnum since about one week after the opening day, what is your overall opinion on the game, and it's growth with features and the players?
I think the game is fun. Firstly, you have to find some products that you like, and then try to produce them to know that whether they are profitable. Secondly, you have to contact other players to provide the materials for your production line.
Then, you will start to grow rapidly! However, just like the manufactory and business in real world, you will get into the “mature period” at the end, the growth of your city slows down.
You have to find solutions to make your city keep growing not so slowly, but it is difficult. So I think that to grow and to expand is an Art.

2. Do you play across any of the other economy simulation games from UpJers? (Kapilands, Kapitalism, etc)
Yes, I also play the English version of Kapilands.

3. Do you believe this experience from the other servers has helped you now?
Yes, I’ve played the Kapilands 1 month before I play the Kapi-Regnum. I’ve learned that not all the products are profitable though you think it “must” be profitable theoretically when it compares to other products. Just like one of the regnum player Juvavum had said,
”Economy is not fair, isn’t it?”

4. Having competed in both contests so far, what are your thoughts on the competition between users, and the increased prices of produce for the duration?
The contests give the smaller cities a chance to grow faster and let the larger cities have a way to spend their money.
The contest products are always raw materials. Some cities which need the materials for their production line might lose their suppliers during the contest or they might need to pay much higher prices to keep their production lines working. It is hard for them during the contest, but it’s also one of the fun of contests, I think.

5. Do you plan to compete in the third contest, to be published in Edition Eight of the Regnum Journal?
Of course, I will join the third contest. What I really mean is that I will be at least in the top 100 to gain at least one contest certificate or better. For the top3 medal, I have no idea now.

6. Been one of the first users to archive the rank of Earl do you feel the game is starting to get repetitive? Especially with no new features after the rank of Councillor.
Yes, it’s start to get repetitive. However, there is still new features- I can enjoy my new parish hall, and I like the picture since it is drawn with perspective.

7. From your Shop Window, I note you have a Premium Account.
How useful would you rate the additional building space, and Administration Buildings?

I use the additional 40 slots to enlarge my production line and use the administration building to make me manage all the same building at a time.

For this edition of the Regnum Journal I was able to contact, and Interview another of our users within the game.

Wrdoff
Of the city The Kingdom of Wrdoff.

Wrdoff has been with us here on Kapi-Regnum.com since about one week after the original opening day and at the time of this edition is second on the Allod Rankings.

In the Interview shown to the left and below they have provided an insight into their opinion on the just completed contest and their excitement for the next contest ..
Not to mention what products they produce, and purchase
in order to boost the economy of their thriving town.

Note that we generally select and contact people at random to inquire if they would be interested in been Interviewed for the paper, and contacting one of the editorial staff will not improve your chances of been one of those selected.

8. Do you specialise in a particular product or mix & match to make a profit to improve your city?
I mix and match for my dried meat in the beginning, however, my herbs is not enough as I grow, so I buy most of the herbs from other cities now.
I think to specialize in a particular products is always more profitable than produce all the materials for your final products.

9. Did you change your production line during the contest to create Flax, or other products during a time of short supply to support yourself or sell for a profit?
Yes, I cancel my herbs production line, and use the farm to collect some flax for me.

10. Do you have a particular interest in the middle ages that has made you more inclined to play Kapi-Regnum?
Yes, like in RPG games, I sometimes think of me as a Knight, and beat all the monsters off to rescue the Princess!

11. Approximately how much time do you put into the game on an average day?
I think about 1hrs totally and log in several times. And when I surf the Internets, I may log in to sign some contracts.

12. How did you hear about the game, and have you referred anyone new to play?
I hear about Kapi-Regnum from others who play Kapilands, which I hear from the PTT, a famous bulletin board system in our country.
