The third contest drawn to a closure at 23:59 on Thursday
Evening, again due to a timing error which should be solved for the next
competition as a day extra has been added to see if it then works.
Elwynn Forest had submitted a total of
7,700,000 Q1 Pears in for this contest, and once again takes Gold with the
submission.
Close behind was Santa Claus
who sent in a total of 4,033,121 Pears, only just sneaking into the
second position.
schurikcity wasn't to be
taken lightly neither however,
having sent in 4,032,553 Pears, although Santa Claus had
managed to sneak in with a difference of 568 Pears.
Nevertheless, a total of 144 players entered into this
third contest, a total that again was lower then the first; will this change
later?
Many cities again chose to supply their few Pears to others, effectively netting
themselves a massive profit over the normal Pear price, an endeavour that would
pay off very quickly; especially in the beginning when the prices were just
soaring.
Although this contest finished a day earlier then expected for
the next one to be released in Edition 10 of the Journal this problem should be
solved as the finish date has been entered a day late.
If this date ends on what it's set then it can be amended to
work properly in the future, although if it ends a day early then I know how the
system works to ensure proper timing for any future contests in the coming
editions for the journal.

How does the Competition Work?
The Product may or may not be produced in a high quantity and
often the product is selected to give a more fair chance to every player.
The selected quality and retail price of the product to send is included in
every announcement, however sometimes the product itself may be hidden with only
a clue in the competition story.
Generally competitions are not suitable for the newer players or smaller cities
due to the amount needed to have a fair chance in the standings. However they
can sell the required product or something needed to produce them to those who
are willing to pay enough to earn one of the above prizes since high yields are
usually the target for these competitions.
On the last day of the competition at 23:59 the competition office is then
closed until the next one is made available.
The winners are indicated in the competition listings.
