Boughs of holly, mistletoe, tinsel, straw-stars and candles, a beautiful fir-tree, sausages and meat... The tables are set, the feast is prepared. Everything is ready for the King's famous Christmas-festivities. The entire Kingdom has been invited, you and old, poor an rich, noblemen, knights, beggars and pedlars. 'tis the season to be jolly, after all. During the ensuing, frantic search of the premises, there is nothing to be found. Not even a single drop of beer. What to do? Where to find the heavenly liquid? The first guests have started to arrive - surely they cannot be expected to celebrate Christmas with water in their tankards? Hastily, the King's master of ceremonies sends out his messengers to all the nearby breweries. Those who provide the King with beer to still the guests thirst, and to ensure a merry Christmas-party, will receive a seat of honor next to the King.
